F&Q's - Need to know
Q: What sublimation printing?
Sublimation is the process where patterns or designs are firstly printed onto paper and then transferred onto the fabric under high heat and pressure. Temperatures used range from 190 to 215 degrees. At these temperatures and under high pressure the gas in the inks explode impregnating the fabric, leaving the permanent non fading design.
Q: What is the difference between Sublimation and Screen printing?
Sublimation does not affect the hands or the fabric, and is more desirable than screen printing, the colours are also more vibrant, do not wash out, and the process is less messy than screen printing.
Q: What are the various used for sublimation printing?
Sublimation printing can be used on various surfaces, including: T-shirts, clothing, cups, photos, banners, flags, paper, posters, and the like. We however, specialize in sublimation printing done on fabrics.
Q: What are the costs involved when choosing sublimation printing?
The costs involve the printing, the initial "test run, or stencil", and the fabric/ clothing to use. As we work closely with KC's clothing, the cost is reduced dramatically. The prints are also completed in less time.
